Inspiring Interior Designers | Dendra Doors

McKenzie Crest IKEA Bathroom Remodel 2.

For Homeowners, finding inspiration for the design of a new kitchen or remodel is the most important step of the project. Most of us plan to live in these spaces for decades to come. That requires that we love the design from start to finish. This week we explore four brilliant Design and Remodel teams that will inspire and maybe even compel you to hire them for your next remodel project.

Dendra Doors focusses on making an amazing selection of custom doors for IKEA cabinets. Of course, the custom cabinet door options we’ve curated are inspired by a ton of classic and modern design elements that surround cabinetry. We know you can’t really justify the expense of custom cabinet doors if they don’t blend in or stand out in the way you and your Designer intended.

In this post we showcase a number of the talented & experienced Designers and Contractors that we’ve worked with a lot over the years. We are proud to consider these skilled, renowned Designers a part of the Dendra Doors team.

John Webb Construction & Design

We’ve covered how John Webb launched Dendra Doors back in 2014, but he still would have earned a spot on this list. In the early stages of John’s career he worked at an Architecture & Design Firm where he developed a love for Design. While John excels at structural and exterior work, once he gets into residential Interior Design he is right at home.

If his love of Radiant Heat flooring is any indication John always strives to balance form and function in his work. As the costs of materials increases John stays focussed on finding cost effective options that provide that form and function. From repurposed materials to cutting edge technology, the JWC&D team provides innovative solutions for every Homeowner’s design goals.

Interior Designers for a Day

Whether or not you consider yourself a bit of an artist or not you wouldn’t be here if interior design didn’t impact you. A great way to start towards developing color palettes and design elements you would present to Interior Designers, is to immerse yourself in a bit of that world yourself.

Of course, you can get on YouTube, Pinterest, Houzz, and many other platforms to start surfing. Though, nothing beats seeing real, inspiring Interior Design in 3D.

1) Look up Tour of Homes for your area. No matter where you are there will always be homes for sale and some version of a regional Homebuilders Association. The Designers & Builders in your area put their best foot forward with the homes featured in these tours.

2) Visit Open House showings in your area and neighboring areas. Often, Tour of Homes are limited to a couple weekends during the Summer. If that’s too far off or those homes don’t inspire you, visit any and all open houses to gather up ideas. Like the Tour of Homes these homes are cleaned up and staged by Contractors & Vendors in your area.

3) Hit Construction & Design Trade Shows. Just like with Tour of Homes there will be Construction & Design Trade Shows wherever there are Convention Centers. At the Trade Show you will find top of the line materials, technology, and design trends as well as industry leaders and guest appearances from trendsetters.

For instance, every year the National Association of Home Builders holds what is called the International Builders Show. It is filled with top of the line exhibits of innovations that will shape how residential and commercial construction is accomplished for years to come.

Accompanying every International Builders Show is the New American Home which always showcases talent and innovations that are unveiled at that year’s Builders Show.

Plenty of what you find when get out on your search for design inspiration can seem like it’s out of reach or other-worldly. Though, it’s best to look for individual elements that speak to you. Let yourself explore and enjoy seeing how others pieced together homes and spaces they found pride in. Once you find the colors, shapes, aesthetics that speak to you, you will find yourself surprised at just how random design inspiration can end up being.
